Title: Spending all day on a computer - insight
Post by: Blue Eyes on November 23, 2015, 11:24:02 AM
I spend most of my day working on a computer and have worked out something that may help others who also spend a lot of time on a hunched up starring at a computer.

I know that I have a lot of tension around my nose which has accumulated over the years but this tension is also contained in the muscles all down my front and effectively contracts the front side of my body.    The net effect of this is that if I stand my and look straight ahead then after a while my eyes get pulled down and the eye lids what to close.  This is because the front of my body contains more tension then in my back.

This would explain that most near sighted people tend to have a hunched posture.

If you know this then it can be fixed by spending more time arching the back or as in my case doing lots of back bends or lying prone on your front whilst watching TV in the evening.
