Title: How do YOU define, objective success?
Post by: OtisBrown on September 11, 2016, 06:51:03 AM
Dear Friends,
I have 20/20 to 20/15 vision - because i check, objectively myself.
But I would be VERY HAPPY, to always exceed the 20/40 line on my Snellen.  The problem is this - people
rely excessively on a strong minus lens - from an OD.  They NEVER check their own Snellen.

That is a terrible mistake.  Here is why you need to set up your own Snellen, and objectively exceed the 20/40 line,
at home, as long as you value your distant vision.

I do not argue that you can "get out of a lot of nearsightedness".  In fact, I never make that claim - it would be dis-honest
if I did.

But, for a mild prescription, I strongly recommend that you "transistion" away from a "prescription", to you
own permanent home Snellen - and make certain you read all the letters on the 20/40 line, on that
Snellen, in bright light.  If you do not do that, you will never have any control of this preventive process.
