For those who insist on 20/15 vision, and will be upset if they do not have it, then I would not advocate that they attempt to restore their distant vision with a plus.

Hi Otis,
I am curious -- why do you recommend against using plus lenses for getting to 20/15?  What would you recommend instead?  Focusing on distant objects?
My experience has been that I was able to achieve 20/15 (both eyes together) mostly via doing print pushing with strong plus lenses.  So, I think that in at least some cases it is possible.  I am curious to hear your thoughts on this though.

Mr Brown suggests a +3/4D ideal refractive state so with this state in daylight one might see 20/15.
I believe he doesn't propose too much 20/15 goal in order to avoid one just buy a stronger minus and sees if he can get to 20/15, if he has a good retina!
