That is - if you are prepared to "do it all yourself".

I always asked, "... well, have not some very wise ODs, 'figured it out', and FORCED their child to wear the plus - even if the child has 20/20..."?

The answer is yes. But it is "pure hell" to keep after the child to always wear the plus for all close work.   For the "general public", the answer is no.

It is not, and will never be his "job" to take true-prevention seriously.

This is not a medical problem, and an optometrist can ONLY quick-fix you with a minus lens, if you can not read the 20/40 line.

Try not to "blame" the optometrist.  I know I do not blame him, for the reasons stated by Maurice.

There are on "bad guys", only a terrible and failed concept.
