So in the light of the recent polyphenol articles, I still wonder:

- How much of these beneficial toxins is enough, and how much is too much?
When do the defensive systems get overwhelmed? Is this something we should increase over time? (smaller veg portions to start with, increasing over time as the defences build?)

- Should we have 'rest days' with few polyphenols so the ARE systemcan rest/recover/rebuild/overcompensate as with physical exercise? (hurray for meaturday)

- Are polyphenolds completely non-specific or only in part? Is "eating the rainbow" useful for the ARE from a polyphenol viewpoint? (setting aside other nutrients for the moment)

- If diversity is still useful, how is it best implemented? One or more veggi types a day? Alternate vegetables on a daily basis? Weekly? Or perhaps even a wide variety of small amounts within that same day? Which is theoretically optimal?

Just wondering...
