Cold showers increase enviromental cold resistance?
« on: September 09, 2012, 07:29:38 AM »
Hello again.

After taking cold showers for two years, I have noticed a significant increase in my cold resistance.

I have an outside manual labour job. I am comfortable in working in only t-shirt and pants for temperatures as low as 5 degrees celsius, while all of my colleagues have to use wool and thick jackets.

It should be noted that I am Norwegian, but so are my colleagues.

Just wanted to share my experience.

Take care.

Thanks for sharing your experience, meaning.

Jeg bodde i Norge for et år når jeg var atten år gammel, og lært å like kaldt vær aktiviteter som å gå på ski om natten!

I recently spent some three weeks in Copenhagen in March and noticed how many people go for long walks in fairly cold weather without even wearing a jacket.  Many Scandanavians seem to be reasonably well adapted to the cold.  So while I was working there, I too went for a walks without my jacket and found it to be energizing and exhilirating.   And I did not catch a cold, as common lore might have you think.

Takk igjen for å legge til dine kommentarer!

Fantastisk! hehe!

I haven't been sick in almost two years. Not even a tendency to a cold. Even when I was in the army and were REALLY cold!

Utrolig bra side du har her! Keep up the good work.
