Proper "well lit" Snellen setup ?
« on: November 15, 2013, 05:52:06 AM »
Atm I stick a printed snellen chart to a wall at the appropriate distance,
But I have a problem setup lighting on it, it's usually too dark due to room (lack of lighting).

Any advice to setup a snellen chart at home ? how do you guys go about yours ?

You can only cast light to the chart by a desk lamp. Check out the relative video on youtube by Mr Otis Brown.

I changed my room lamp's bulb to a full U.V spectrum. It was kinda cheap and it helps with clarity and doesn't strain vision as much as neon lights.
